about

Speaking of playing about with harmony, another starkly wintery track with a huge harmony component of a person begging for love and appreciation. In the summer I had been lucky enough to be involved in a charity concert with about four Beatles bands; one of the aims of which had been to play the second side of Abbey Road live in its entirety, plus a bit more. As such, as 'Because' and 'Sun King' were both in my head, this appeared. There is a full arrangement version with just my voice on there, and an arrangement with just the voices, but it really did need more than just me. The blend of two voices turning into four works really well here, for my money.

lyrics

I’ll come with you dear, if my call you’ll hear
Just give me some of your sweet time.
I’ll tow any line, let me change your mind,
Just give me some of your sweet time.
Words speak softly, deeds speak truly,
You must prove you’re divine.

I’ll say in any words, any thought any verse,
Just give me some of your sweet time,
From my verse to my purse; from my thought to my verse;
Just give me some of your sweet time.
Words speak softly, deeds speak truly,
You must prove you’re divine.

I’ll come with you dear, if my call you’ll hear
Just give me some of your sweet time.
